We are currently switching to a new system to handle researcher more efficiently. Please bear with us while we integrate this new system with our website. We expect the system to be live ON OR AFTER MONDAY 17th JUNE 2024
Please make a careful note of this date and return to the site to submit your application then.
Please also read the tips we have included below, to improve your chances of being accepted onto our writing team. If you have any general questions about the application process, please contact applications@academicknowledge.com
We look forward to seeing your application on or after Monday 17th June 2024.
- You need a minimum Undergraduate Degree with Upper Second Class Honours (2:1) to join our writing team (or the equivalent grade of degree in your country of study), without exception. Please do not apply unless you have met this standard.
- We have noticed a huge increase in the number of applicants using ChatGPT to write their cover letter and/or CV. In addition to a 2:1 standard degree, you will also need research skills and the ability to write original work to a high standard with excellent English. If you use ChatGPT, we cannot properly assess your ability to write, nor can we have any confidence that you will not attempt to use ChatGPT when producing work for us in the future. We do scan ALL applications so please do write your cover letter yourself. Suggested topics include: (a) Why you feel you would be a suitable candidate for the role (b) Why freelance writing appeals to you (c) Whether you have any experience in this type of work (d) Your general areas of interest.
- Please don't attach essays and writing examples as a replacement for your cover letter.
- Please DO use the questions on the form to help us understand where you would fit into our writing team. Sometimes they will give you an advantage over other applicants! For example, if you are a law writer, tell us which areas of law you specialise in. We will prioritise a writer who has experience in areas that our current writer base cannot cover.
- Please do not attempt to submit multiple applications using different email addresses and phone numbers. Our system can detect this and we will treat duplicate applications as fraud - with all applications from the relevant candidate being rejected.
